From Tuesday 24th March we will be seeing urgent cases only.
Following guidance from The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) & The British Veterinary Association (BVA), we will be seeing urgent cases only from Tuesday 24th March. To take some of the pressure off of the out of hours services, we will be opening 8.30 – 19.00. We will not be charging out of hours fees for this.
CONSULTATIONS MOVING FORWARD:
We will contact all clients who already have non-urgent cases booked in to offer advice and reschedule for a later date. Until further notice, we will not be booking any routine appointments or operations (this includes weight checks, nail clips, booster vaccinations, routine check-ups and neutering etc.)
We have created a pick-up/drop-off service for unwell animals who need to be seen by a vet for treatment (there is a charge for this service to cover fuel, van hire and staff costs). The vet will conduct the consultation and relay the examination with you over the phone.
If you and your household are well and you have not recently returned from any high-risk countries, you are welcome to bring your pet in for a pre-arranged consultation yourself. Please note that you will be asked to remain outside or in your car whilst the vet examines your pet and speaks to you over the phone.
PROVISIONS OF MEDICATIONS:
We have a delivery service in place for providing medication and prescriptions to clients, we ask that this is paid for in advance and arranged over the phone. To order medication for home delivery, please phone 0141 339 1228. There will be a delivery charge to cover fuel, van hire and staff costs.
Again, if you and your household are well and you have not recently returned from any high-risk countries, you are welcome to collect pre-ordered medications yourself. Please note however that you will be asked to remain outside and a member of the team will bring your order out to you.
As always, if you are worried about your pet, you can phone the team on 0141 339 1228 and a member of our team will do their best to help you and your pet.
We want to thank all of our clients for the continued support over the last few weeks. We are doing our very best to continue to provide emergency care whilst keeping our clients and team members safe. Please note that this is all subject to change following government updates.
Stay safe and look after each other folks!
