Nurse Clinics

Our nurses offer appointments throughout the day Monday – Friday and until 11.45am on Saturday mornings.

These appointments tend to be very flexible so if you wish to make an appointment with one of our nurses, please give the practice a ring on 0141 339 1228, and we will book you in for a time that suits you.

If you have a general enquiry about your pet’s health and you are unsure whether or not you need an appointment, you may also give us a call and a nurse can provide over-the-phone advice.

Weight Checks

Whether you want to get your pet’s weight down or simply monitor their weight as they age, our nurses offer weight check appointments. In these appointments, we track and help manage your pet’s weight, whilst advising on pet nutrition, exercise and portion control. We recommend weight checks for young, developing puppies; for overweight and obese pets, and for animal breeds which are susceptible to weight gain. These appointments are free of charge.

Dental Checks

Dental health is a very important part of your pet’s regime. Plaque can build up on their teeth causing bad breath and yellow tarter, which leads to tooth decay and disease. We offer free dental checks and provide tips and assistance on maintaining your pets dental health. You can find more information on Dental Health here.

Diabetes Support

The rise of obesity in pets has consequently led to a rise in diabetes. If your pet has been diagnosed with diabetes, we will assign you a veterinary nurse who will offer you regular guidance and support on managing this condition in your pet.

Kitten & Puppy Support

Homing a kitten or puppy can be daunting, especially if you have never had one before. We offer free appointments with one of our veterinary nurses to chat with you about your kitten or puppy. They will advise on growth charts for your breed, nutrition, exercise, insurance, vaccinations, parasite treatments, grooming and dental health etc. Our nurses can also answer any other questions or concerns you may have about your new pet.

Flea, Tick and Worming

We recommend that you give flea, tick and worm prevention to your pet on a regular basis. This is to protect both your pet and your family from common parasites. For more information about parasite prevention, give us a phone and ask to speak to a nurse about our various products. You can find more flea, tick and worming information here.

If we have not seen your pet in a while, we might request that you swing by the practice with your pet so that we can get an up-to-date weight for your pet. With a recent weight, we can ensure the correct dosage of product is dispensed.
