From January 1st 2021, the UK will formally withdraw from the European Union.

Travel Before December 31st 2020

Prior to December 31st 2020, you can continue to travel with your pet on their current UK issued passport.

Travel after January 1st 2021

From January 1st 2021 the rules for travelling with your pet into and out of Europe will change. Currently, there is still no formal agreement as to what these exact changes will be, or what steps will be necessary for EU travel with your pet.

The current government advice indicates that UK issued passports may not be valid if Britain does not secure a deal before December 31st. If you are wishing to travel to Europe with your pet, it is likely that you may need to begin the process 4 months prior to travel – to remain compliant with rabies and blood testing protocols. We will update this page once we receive clear guidance.
